3 Reasons to Watch Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time is a show that will blow your mind. It is filled with action, adventure, romance, mystery, and all the good stuff. There is no other show like it and I am in love with it. There are many shows that I have watched, yet there is none that compares to Once Upon a Time. For all of the people who don’t watch Once Upon a Time, here are three amazing reasons that should persuade you to watch this show. (Hopefully)

1) Its not the classic or Disney version of Fairy Tale Stories

Once upon of time is filled with many stories and well known characters that many of us have grown up loving or hating. Our princes and princesses, our knights and our villains, and our favorite smaller characters. Disney has been a wonderful story teller and most of our favorite childhood characters probably came from Disney. Well, even though Once Upon a Time is run by ABC (which is owned by Disney), Once Upon a Time puts a new and unexpected twist on all the characters. The villains are given a back story to where they are led to become evil and some of our favorite princes and princess were bandits or liars. They don’t make the characters flawless and either so in love or so evil, OUAT makes the characters full of flaws, yet perfect. They give the villains more emotions other than hate and the princes and princesses some more action.

2) It is NOT a kid’s show, its for all ages

I know most of you 10+ are probably rolling your eyes while you read this because Once Upon a Time is filled with storybook characters. Kiddie right? Too childish? Well you have been misinformed. Once Upon a Time is for all ages. The young, the teenagers, and the old. This show is PG enough for a younger person to watch it, but mature enough that an adult could enjoy it just as much as a younger person would. When you watch it, it makes you rethink of your favorite childhood characters and see them all in a new light. From Snow White, Mulan, Robin Hood, Belle, Rumpelstiltskin, Prince Charming, Red Riding Hood, and to the Evil queen, none of the characters are who they seemed like before. The fairy tale happy ever afters? They don’t always happen.

3) Lastly, Its for both genders

For all the males out there who groan at the sight of these fairy tale filled stories with princesses and love, Once Upon a Time is for both females and males. The story line is jam packed with action and adventure that boys love with some romance for the girls. OUAT twists these two genres together perfectly so that both genders could enjoy the show. There is no episode that is all romance or nonsense, its non stop action and there is always a little romance on the side 🙂 The show will satisfy both males and females.
